Many celebrities are going down the same path as they reserved their prime for their career. Audra McDonald has a semi-similar story about her pregnancy at 46. According to her, she was surprised and elated at the same time.

McDonald never expected to be a new mom again at the age of 46. She already has a teenage daughter from a previous marriage and two stepsons, so adding a new one was not in their plan. On the brighter side, she said that she was more relaxed and calmer when it came to mothering her baby at 46. Perhaps it is because she already went through it and does not fuss about small things anymore. Additionally, she does not have to worry about her children needing student loans, as she can afford to pay for their schooling.
