She became a mother to twins at the age of 44 through the help of IVF treatment. The actress shares her daughters with her husband Tom Mahoney who could not be any happier having a family at their age. The couple met when Cross was already in her forties, and when they tied the knot, they wanted to get pregnant as soon as possible.

With their earnings used as investment money for their IVF treatment, they soon became expecting parents. The actress admitted that she was scared at first of becoming a mother at her age, but it seems that she is handling it quite well now that her daughters are all grown up and looking very much like their mother.
