You may have probably heard about Jada Pinkett Smith and Tupac Shakur’s friendship, which goes way back to their high school days. They attended The Baltimore School of Arts together in the ’80s and maintained a platonic friendship until the famed rapper’s passing. Pinkett Smith later admitted that they had undeniable chemistry during her first real encounter with Shakur, but they ultimately chose to remain friends.

Shakur was an incredibly successful rap artist and actor who was lauded for his socially conscious lyrics. To date, he sold over 75 million records internationally. Shortly after beginning his solo career, he became an international music sensation. Pinkett Smith is also a star in her own right.
