However, only a fortunate few were able to witness the grand allure of nature’s provisions. Luckily, to the very least, others can now enjoy its sceneries through photos and videos on the internet, captured by the lucky ones who were able to see in person its strange beauty.
Submerged Park – Fun Underwater
The Green Lake in Styria, Austria, is a beautiful sight to behold, especially on a sunny day. In spring, the park is completely submerged in fresh water when the snows coming from the karst mountains melt. With its crystal clear emerald green waters, visitors can enjoy scuba diving and explore the picturesque scenes from beneath as the Green Lakes is considered one of the finest spots in Europe to do scuba diving. It’s best to visit the place in the months of April and May. To reach there, visitors have to take a flight to Vienna then take the train to Bruck an der Mur using the OEBB. From there, Bus 175 will take the visitors to the lake within 35 minutes—not sure if credit cards are accepted.
Christ Of The Abyss – Underwater Marvel
One of the favorite spots for deep-sea divers is located in Italy within the waters of the Mediterranean Sea, where the bronze statue of the likeness of Jesus is found. The statue stands at about 2.5 meters high. Getting there, visitors have to book a flight to Milan and then take a train to Genoa City, take a taxi, train, or bus going to Camogli or Portofino. In different places worldwide, including churches and museums, various casts of the statue were made. The original statue was made from clay and is now on display at the National Museum of Underwater Activities in Ravenna, Italy.
Silfra Rift – Explore The Two Sides of the Continents Underwater
The Silfra Rift is among the wonders of underwater sceneries on the planet—credit to Mother Earth. It was formed by the divergence of tectonic drift of the North American and Eurasian plates and located in a lake of Iceland’s national park. Every year, the plates drift about 2 centimeters apart. The Silfra Rift is touted as one of the unique phenomena on Earth. Visitors can do snorkeling or scuba diving and explore the gaps between the continent’s plates. If you want to make a visit, Fly to Reykjavik, Iceland, and take a ride going to Silfra, which would normally take about an hour.
Jellyfish Lake – Swim With The Critters
Lakes are a great place to take a plunge, especially on a hot sunny day. In Palau, within the Western Pacific Ocean, there’s a lake there filled with a multitude of sea jellies called Jellyfish Lake—medical insurance is a good thing, just in case. Millions of golden jellyfish migrate across the lake daily. Interestingly, the lake is estimated to be 12,000 years old and has a depth of 30 meters. The lake was closed to the public in 2021 due to the diminishing numbers of jellies. However, the decline of the jellies’ population began back in the late-’90s. On the other hand, tourists are required to obtain a pass to visit the lake.
Great Blue Hole – Take A Plunge At Sinkhole
A giant marine sinkhole can be found off the coast of Belize in the Caribbean Sea called the Great Blue Hole, which has measurements of 318 meters in diameter and 124 meters deep and is a popular spot among recreational scuba divers. Several marine wildlife can also be spotted in the hole, including Caribbean reef sharks, midnight parrotfish, and other juvenile species. Other sharks such as hammerheads and bull sharks have been spotted on the site but not on a regular basis. According to experts, it’s one of the most dangerous places on Earth—life insurance activated. All kidding aside, caution and all means necessary to avoid harm and injury must be taken when visiting this marvelous place while enjoying the majestic beauty of the natural attraction.
